Fire Departments. National, state, local, or federally recognized tribal organizations representing the interests of volunteer firefighters.
Focus AreaSAFER grants provide financial assistance to help fire departments increase frontline firefighters. SAFER offers grants to support activities in two activities: 1. Hiring of Firefighters and 2. Recruitment and Retention of Volunteer Firefighters .
