Housing and Digital Navigators 

Kate Crago Blanton leads strategic initiatives and resource development for the Housing Authority of the City of Austin and its non-profit subsidiary Austin Pathways. Kate leads a department that connects about 5,500 very low-income residents with free high-speed broadband, refurbished devices and digital literacy services, including a high-performing Work Study Internship in partnership and a resident-led participatory innovation program to ensure people in public and affordable housing fully participate in the design, development, and deployment of tools meant to enable family self-sufficiency and quality of life. In this session, we will hear about the partnerships and lessons learned from her work in broadband and housing.
