Applicants must be a Volunteer Fire Department in one of the following counties: Archer, Baylor, Childress, Clay, Cottle, Foard, Haskell, Hardeman, Jack, King, Knox, Montague, Stonewall, Throckmorton, Wilbarger, Wise, Wichita, Young.
Focus Area
This grant focuses on providing support to Volunteer Fire Departments in North Texas. Areas of funding that will be considered are as follows: 1) Personal Protective Equipment, such as bunker gear, breathing apparatus, etc.; 2) Communication devices, such as radios and pagers; 3) Truck matches; if available, WFACF will award 10% of a truck match up to $20,000; 4) Truck parts, such as tires, windshields, transmissions, brakes, etc.; 5) Fire equipment, such as pumps, nozzles, hoses, etc.; 6) Miscellaneous equipment, such as jaws of life, chainsaws, etc.; 7) First Responder equipment; and 9) Medical equipment/supplies.
