Eligible Entities
To be eligible for funding, applicants must be organized as a water supply corporation that serves existing residential customers. Entities whose primary service is to commercial or industrial customers are not eligible to apply. Additional eligibility requirements, prioritization criteria, project categories, funding limits, and administrative conditions are described in the TWSCG Implementation Plan.
Focus Area
The TWDB is making up to $50 million in one-time grant funding available to eligible Water Supply Corporations through the Rural Water Assistance Fund (RWAF) and the Water Loss Assistance Fund (WLAF). Funding supports water supply, water conservation strategies, and water loss mitigation. The TWSCG opportunity provides 100 percent grant funding for eligible water supply and water infrastructure projects. To qualify, applicants must have up-to-date financial audits, water use surveys, water loss audits, and water conservation plans/annual reports, and proposed projects must be consistent with the state water plan; no waivers are allowed.
