501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations (or sponsored by a 501(c)(3) organization) with a project supporting the preservation of and public engagement with Texas history (preserving historic structures and sites, history education, archeological research, preservation advocacy, museum programming, archives and collections preservation, legal history, publishing, contributions to the body of historical knowledge, and promotion of Texas arts and culture).
Focus Area
Texas Historical Foundation's Annual Grants Program is an open-submission process that seeks to support active historic preservation projects. Proposals for the following types of projects are considered: Historic property preservation; Events or programs promoting state history to the public; Preservation of artifacts, archival materials, collections, or legal documents; Texas history curriculum and educational programming; Museum programming; Publications and scholarly research in Texas history; Archeology; and Cultural heritage and the arts.
