Eligible Entities
To be eligible for a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation, applicants must be a nonprofit organization as determined by the IRS, a public library, school, or college providing direct literacy services within a state that Dollar General Corporation operates in and whose organization address is within 15 miles of a Dollar General store.
Focus Area
These grants support the creation or expansion of summer reading programs. Local nonprofit organizations, schools and libraries are eligible to apply if their programs meet the following criteria: target Pre-K through 12th-grade students who are new readers; target below grade level readers; and assist readers with learning disabilities.
