Eligible Entities The Foundation's service areas includes the following counties: Andrews, Borden, Brewster, Crane, Crockett, Culberson, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Jeff Davis, Loving, Martin, Midland, Pecos, Presidio, Reagan, Reeves, Terrell, Upton, Ward, and Winkler. Applications from organizations outside the Foundation’s service area will not be accepted. This includes statewide and nationwide organizations who may provide services within the Foundation’s service area but do not have local staff, local board members, or a local office. Nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply every two years. For example, if your organization is a past recipient and received a grant in the spring of 2021, you are eligible for the spring 2023 grant cycle.
Focus Area Permian Basin Area Foundation makes grants to qualified nonprofit organizations serving the Permian Basin and TransPecos regions through which a broad range of philanthropic purposes are supported in the following areas: animal services, arts and culture, community development, education, environment, health and mental health, housing and shelter, human and social services, youth development. The application deadline for the Spring cycle is April 1. The application deadline for the Fall cycle is October 1. Before submitting an Spring application, all applicants must contact the Foundation no later than March 15.
