Eligible EntitiesEligible organizations must be: 1) a unit of State, local, or Tribal government; or 2) a private, nonprofit organization that has tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code
and 3a) A museum whose primary purpose, as reflected in its mission, is American Latino life, art, history, or culture, or 3b) A public or private nonprofit agency that is responsible for the operation of a museum, or 3c) A museum service organization or association, or 3d) AAn Institution of Higher Education, including Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs)
Focus AreaThe Museum Grants for American Latino History and Culture (ALHC) program supports projects that build the capacity of American Latino history and culture museums to serve their communities, and broadly advance the growth and development of a professional workforce in American Latino cultural institutions.
