Focus Area
Knapp Community Care Foundation (KCCF) partners with organizations serving the deep South Texas Mid-Valley community. KCCF approaches all grant-making through the lens of the Social Determinants of Health. Requests must meet at least one of the five Social Determinants of Health: Economic Stability, Education Access & Quality, Social & Community Context, Healthcare Access & Quality, and Neighborhood & Built Environment.
KCCF encourages projects that are evidence or research-based, projects that have the capacity to leverage additional funding, and collaborative partnerships. The Foundation provides four primary types of grants:
1) Capital Grant: supports building acquisition, renovation, and construction;
2) Collaborative Grant: requires 1 lead applicant + 2 or more partners, with a shared scope of work and budget;
3) Planning Grant: up to $20,000 for early-stage development and requires at least 2 key stakeholders; and
4) Standard Grant: covers all costs associated with a project.
