Eligible Entities
501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in existence for a minimum of three (3) years. Government and school entities may apply only for projects outside their basic/core services. Applying organizations must be located in: Aransas, Bee, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, Refugio, or San Patricio counties.
Focus Area
Each year, Coastal Bend Community Foundation (CBCF) awards grants through an Annual Grants process, utilizing unrestricted and other eligible funds to support specific programs or projects that enhance the quality of life in the Coastal Bend. CBCF welcomes applications from eligible organizations/coalitions for projects that will be completed by August 31 of the following year. Projects may be new or ongoing, but must: 1) Show a compelling, documented impact, 2) Align with the organization’s mission, and 3) Justify requests for necessary equipment, supplies, or other project-related expenses. In addition to its unrestricted funds, CBCF awards annual grants from funds that support the following during this annual grant process: intellectually disabled, children’s programs, cultural activities, historical and ecological preservation projects, and the elderly.
