Eligible EntitiesTo be eligible for funding, the applicant organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is classified as a public charity or a political subdivision. Must use the grant funds within and for the benefit of the residents and communities of the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. The counties of the Texas Panhandle are: Armstrong, Briscoe, Carson, Castro, Childress, Collingsworth, Dallam, Deaf Smith, Donley, Gray, Hall, Hansford, Hartley, Hemphill, Hutchinson, Lipscomb, Moore, Ochiltree, Oldham, Parmer, Potter, Randall, Roberts, Sherman, Swisher, and Wheeler.
Focus AreaThe Mary E. Bivins Foundation distributes funds in the form of grants for charitable purposes that address specific, nonrecurring needs of nonprofit organizations committed to improving and enriching the quality of life in the 26 counties of the Texas Panhandle. Areas of interest include basic human needs, education, human services, and youth development.
