Eligibility Requirements: K-12 public school with a pre-existing school library, within 36 months of the date of the disaster, located 15 miles from a Dollar General store or Distribution Center, and has significant damage to books, media and/or library equipment.
Focus Area
Beyond Words is a disaster relief fund for K-12 public school libraries in Dollar General store communities. Grants are awarded to K-12 public school libraries that have incurred substantial damage or hardship due to a natural disaster, fire or an act recognized by the federal government as terrorism.
