Funding supports shovel-ready projects such as wood energy systems that replace fossil fuels, mass timber production equipment, sawmill expansions, and biofuel facilities using forest residues. Awards are up to $1M (up to 35% of project costs) or up to $1.5M in special cases, with remaining costs covered by non-federal leveraged funds.
