TRF’s local rural advisors are our on-the-ground experts. They know their communities and challenges better than anyone, and they guide our agenda and approach at every turn.
TRF also maintains relationships with statewide trade associations that have strong rural connections, such as the Texas Economic Development Council, Texas Association of Regional Councils, Association of Rural Communities in Texas, Texas Organization for Rural and Community Hospitals and many others.
Texas Rural Funders (TRF) has established an essential and critical philanthropic approach to a better Texas with an emphasis on rural life. It is amazing to see the amount of work this group has accomplished. As part of the Rural Advisory Group, we feel confident the TRF will lead a charge to bring ideas and encouragement to others in all areas of Texas.

To me, Texas Rural Funders represents the promise of incredible possibilities for rural Texas. Never before has such an amazing, committed group of funders come together to not only envision the success of rural Texas, but also to do what it takes to make it happen. TRF was intentional in seeking input from so many rural practitioners to develop, communicate and execute its vision, and I’m thankful to have the opportunities to share ideas and input along the way – what an incredible journey and process! Rural Texas is a place of enormous significance. I’m grateful for TRF and excited for the future of rural Texas.
